Well, I did a lot of things to fix the business, but THIS made the biggest difference…

I could have worked longer and longer hours… hired more and more people… put out bigger and bigger fires… 

Instead, I spent a lot of my time doing ONE thing: 

Build relationships with owners who've been where I want to go.

I learned early on in life that success leaves clues — you just need to find where the clues are.

So I went on a mission to learn from the best in the home service industry and beyond…

  • I did shop tours to learn what the best businesses in different trades were doing right. That’s how I learned to sell memberships and offer financing to my clients, which massively increased our conversion rate.

  • I invested $100,000 in consulting from Al Levi to help me build the manuals for my techs, CSRs, and dispatchers. That helped me regain control of my business.

  • I even launched a podcast to pick the brains of top experts once a week. Through the podcast, I got to know people like Craig Smith (CRO of Angi), Terry Nicholson (exec of NYSE-listed home services company), etc.
